What Is CTC Tea
We Produce only CTC (Crush/Cut, Tear, Curl) Tea. This a method of processing black tea in which the leaves are passed through a series of cylindrical rollers with hundreds of sharp teeth that crush, tear, and curl the tea into small, hard pellets. This replaces the final stage of orthodox tea manufacture, in which the leaves are rolled into strips. Tea produced using this method is generally called CTC tea.
Manufacturing Process
Withering
Freshly plucked tea leaves, both manually and automatically withered, lose moisture to enhance flavor and prepare for processing.
CTC
The leaves are crushed, torn, and curled into tiny pellets, creating a robust flavor and ensuring a quick, rich infusion.
Oxidation
The leaves are exposed to oxygen, deepening their color and developing the rich flavors of CTC tea.
Drying
The leaves are carefully dried to stabilize the flavor, ensuring quality and preserving shelf life.
